Monday 10th February: Professor Miguel Quiñones-Mateu (Webster Family Chair in Viral Pathogenesis) has been promoted to Associate Dean Research for the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Otago.
Tuesday 28th January: Congratulations Caitlan Smart and Samuel Sartie. Each year the top ranked BSc student receives the Margaret and John Loutit Prize, and the top ranked BSc (Hons) student receives the John Miles award.
Monday 6th January: Alex McLellan from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology was among those academics at the University of Otago to be promoted to Professor.
Tuesday 10th December: Microbiology staff received four awards in the annual Biomedical Sciences School Award function. We also farewelled our Dean, Professor Vernon Ward.
Another successful combined ‘Research Celebration’ for Microbiology & Immunology and Biochemistry.
A large number of graduands of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology took to the stage over the weekend. Congratulations to all current and former students who have had their degrees conferred in the University's most recent graduation ceremonies.
Congratulations to Dr James Ussher for receiving a promotion to Associate Professor.
