Sandy Smith Scholarship Successes

Congratulations to Chris Greening (Cook Lab) and Ed Taylor (Kemp Lab), who were awarded Prof Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarships this week.  These scholarships are administered by the Dunedin Basic Medical Sciences Course Trust and are awarded to students whose research has application to microbiology in relation to medicine.

A function was held yesterday to celebrate the opening of the University's PC3 Lab.  Researchers will soon be using the facility for cutting edge research into tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
