Congratulations to Ed Taylor who was awarded the Eli Lilly Award at the New Zealand Society for Oncology Conference today. The Eli Lilly Award is awarded for the best presentation by a trainee or young member of the Society and is used to further their career in oncology.
Gloves used commonly in general hospital wards throughout New Zealand are frequently contaminated with bacteria before coming into contact with patients, with poor glove box design and inadequate hand washing by hospital staff the likely culprits, a new University of Otago study led by Dr Heather Brooks, has found.
