The Department of Microbiology and Immunology has won two major grants from the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), as part of an ongoing research commitment to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from pastoral livestock farming.
The New Zealand Fund for Global Partnerships in Livestock Emissions Research, administered by MPI, co-funds internationally collaborative projects. The fund aims to achieve a portfolio of projects that balances innovation science with cost-effective and sustainable solutions for livestock farmers in New Zealand and around the world.
