Sam Wilkins, BBioMedSci(Hons) summer student in Lyn Wise's lab, was named runner-up for his presentation at last night's Otago Medical School Research Society meeting.
Sam impressed the judges of the 'OMSRS BSc(Hons), MSc speaker' awards with his talk entitled Engineering electrospun nanofibres with orf virus proteins for improved wound healing. The work on his project was undertaken with the support of Steve Fleming and Andy Mercer, under the co-supervision of Lyn Wise and Greg Walker (School of Pharmacy).
The Society holds three meetings per year where postgraduate student talks are encouraged, with prize money awarded to the top speakers.
