Kevin He (McLellan Lab) has been awarded his Msc and Natalie Waller (Cook Lab) has upgraded her MSc to a PhD and has been award a University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship. Congratulations to you both.
Kevin He completed his PGDipSci in the McLellan Lab in 2018 looking at developing new cancer immunotherapies. Kevin then completed his MSc still in the McLellan Lab looking at CAR T cells and how they can be used to target cancerous tissue. Kevin just submitted a manuscript on compact bidirectional promoters from work carried out on his one-year MSc. Well done Kevin!
Natalie Waller (Cook Lab) completed her BSc(Hons) in 2019 looking at the repurposing of drugs to fight antibiotic resistance in infectious diseases such as Tuberculosis. Natalie started her MSc under Matthew McNeil on a similar thread to her honors research and now have upgraded her Msc to a PhD and has also been awarded a University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship. Huge congratulations Natalie!
