Professor Greg Cook has been interviewed for a story on antibiotic resistance for Our Changing World, Radio New Zealand's science feature show. The show airs at 9pm on Thursday 12 February and is also available online.
Greg explains that the more often antibiotics are used, the faster the mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance are spread. He describes some of his own research into tuberculosis (TB), where many strains are now multi-drug resistant and new innovative strategies to tackle the disease are urgently required.
