Postgraduate Student Events
Each year we have two events solely for our Postgrad students. The Postgrad breakfast is held early each year, involves a sumptuous breakfast and also a speaker from within the University. This year the postgrad breakfast was held March 19th and the guest speaker was Dr Charles Tustin (the Director of Graduate Research Services).
The second event, the Postgrad invited speaker event, is held later in the year. As the name suggests postgrad students get to invite a prestigious speaker to the Department. We have had a range of prestigious speakers including:
Professor Peter Gluckman
The Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor
Professor Peter Doherty

Professor Sir Paul Callaghan
