Course overview
MICR 490 is the research project component for BSc (Hons), BAppSc (Hons) and in some cases PGDipSci. To complete this paper you will undertake a 6-month research project within one of the research labs in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Staff members will introduce available research projects in the first week of Semester One during the introductory week for 4th year Microbiology. MICR 490 has no formal classes.
Assessment
MICR 490 is 100% internally assessed. There will be two assessment items for MICR 490:
- Submission of a project report/dissertation and 20 minute oral examination (90%)
- End of year talk (10%)
