PhD student Prashanth Nagesh wins Otago Institute Postgraduate Travel Award

Prashanth Nagesh, PhD student in the Husain Lab, has been awarded the Otago Institute Postgraduate Travel Award in Applied Sciences. This award is given by the Otago Institute for Arts and Sciences - a local branch of Royal Society of New Zealand.

Prashanth was one of the four finalists selected from 20 applications who presented their work on 20 May 2016. His presentation was entitled Identification of a Novel Antiviral Host Factor of Influenza Virus.

He will use this award to supplement his trip to USA to give an Oral Presentation in American Society for Virology Meeting (18-22 June 2016) and to visit a lab in Baylor College of Medicine, (Houston).
