Facilities

The Microbiology Building is home to many state of the art research facilities, some of which are available for use by members of the wider research community:

• Flow Cytometry suite
• PC3 facility

The department is also involved with a number of other research facilities, including:

• Disease Research Limited (DRL)
• Centre for Protein Research
• Otago Centre for Electron Microscopy: Dr Mihnea Bostina is the Academic Director of the OCEM and holds a research position in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
• Otago Genomics Facility
• Hercus Taieri Resource Unit
